Small talk can be intimidating.
With all that’s going on around me, with all of the encounters, experiences, and personal conundrums mulling over inside my head, how the hell do I answer the assumedly easy question
“How are you?”
What do I say to
“What’s up?”
Uh, I dunno, we’re floating in space, I’m just catching up with what our species has created over the past few centuries, my dreams confuse me, I feel like I can never know enough, I’m only pretending to understand the world and I present the answer
“Not much”
Just to make your moment a little less complicated, to comfort you by giving order to an orderless world, to keep things simple between us rather than open you onto the overwhelming frenzy that, I notice, is life.
So, let’s dance instead: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120710.html
