While I was searching for David Barnes’ artwork, I surfed upon a different David Barnes than I was looking for. However, this David turns out to be equally imaginative-
Quite whimsical
~ Dave Barnes (1975 ~ .) Artistic approach involves the practice of transforming modern concept to reveal nostalgic mood, sometimes refered to as “Oldification”. Recycled elements, faded colours, layered/collaged backgrounds, and sand~papered imagery all play a part in this process, along with the use of bold observational line and memory dissolved Rockwellian imagery. Often disregarding conventional rectangular canvases for manipulated wooden shapes to help emphasize theme and subject, I try to use art as a translation of experience and observation that derives inspiration from environment and memory.

Still on my search for David Barnes, I found a blog that features album artwork from various indie bands.

Then I found what I was actually looking for, notably, the album artwork for Of Montreal, done by the David Barnes I am familiar with, the one who is Kevin’s brother.
On an adventure to Old Montreal, on the other side of Chinatown, we meandered into Galerie Saint Dizier, where I found, among other masterful creations, large flowers on the wall.

Just an excerpt from my philosophy book-
“He (Bishop Berkeley)) shows that all we know immediately when we ‘perceive’ the tree consists of ideas (senses), and he argues that there is not the slightest ground for supposing that there is anything real about the tree except what is perceived. Its being, he says, consists in being perceived [by someone]…He fully admits that the tree must continue to exist even when we shut our eyes or when no human being is near it. But this continued existence, he says, is due to the fact that God continues to perceive it; the ‘real’ tree…consists of ideas in the mind of God. All our perceptions consist in a partial participation in God’s perceptions, and it is because of this participation that different people see more or less the same tree.” (Russell p.39)
Feed your head/food for thought/whichever way you look at it.
